Home Nursing

Nursing is a specialized field of healthcare that involves the promotion, protection, and optimization of health and abilities. Nurses provide services such as: prevention of illness and injury, facilitation of healing, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. In regard to home health care, nurses provide their services from the comfort of a client’s home. A home care nurse is actually a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse that is dedicated to providing assistance to the elderly, or any other patient who is unable to leave the home. Common duties of home care nurses include injections, medication administration, wound care, and intravenous services. An important thing to keep in mind is that home care nurses provide specifically provide services related to medical care, as opposed to daily living care that would be provided by a home care helper. Our therapists work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness-based programs to promote a healthier lifestyle with increased mobility. Skilled Nursing can be utilized by people of all ages and levels of physical fitness. In the home healthcare field, home physical therapy services are provided in the home of patients that have suffered from an injury or are experiencing symptoms that do not allow them to leave. While usually utilized for elderly patients, all ages can benefit from home rehabilitation healthcare services as well.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a profession within the health and rehabilitation field that can improve the quality of life for many people.
